Aron Aron

A hairstylist at Dekko, Aron Dunkle is well known for his creative cuts and his laid back attitude.   

Before coming to Dekko, Aron was a stylist at Architects & Heroes in San Francisco. During his time at Architects & Heroes, Aron was responsible for many of the reputation-building hair styles created by the salon.

Aron graduated from the College of San Mateo and quickly worked his way through an intensive, Vidal Sassoon-based cutting program at Architects & Heroes. He has also styled hair for many of the city's fashion shows, most recently styling for Gen Arts and Obedient Sons.
Jules Jules




Jules Chan, founder and co-owner of Dekko salon, has more than 20 years as a hairdresser and instructor around the world.

Prior to opening Dekko, Jules was listed as an "Alien with Extraordinary Ability, E1" for entry into the U.S.   Under that listing she worked at one of San Francisco's most prestigious salons, Architects & Heroes, as senior stylist. Jules was listed in Vogue magazine (Sept 2000) as the San Francisco stylist to see for the best funky haircut in the city.  

Jules brings extensive editorial and creative expertise to Dekko. She styled the hair for the Third Eye Blind music video for the hit song, Jumper, as well as photo shoots for San Francisco's top technology magazine, Red Herring working with world-renowned photographer Helmut Newton

Before moving to San Francisco, Jules worked in Hong Kong, Singapore and Los Angeles. In Singapore Jules worked to re-train stylists and teachers for various companies. In L.A. she styled the hair on one of the most successful Asian commercials of 1998 - Ericsson - with Maggie Cheung and Michael Wong. In addition, she worked with MTV Most Wanted around Los Angeles, including U2's "POP" concert held in L.A. Coliseum.

During her time in Hong Kong, Jules served as stylist for MTV, styling the hair for photo sessions and events for MTV, Channel [V] and the Chinese Channel for Star TV. She styled hair for VJ's as well as pop groups such as Take That and singer Chris Isaak. She has also done photo shoots for Hong Kong's Elle and Cosmopolitan.

Jules' has extensive theatrical experience as well, having created wigs for the Hong Kong Ballet on classics such as Swan Lake, Peter Pan, and Cinderella, as well as opera productions such as Turandot.

She served as an instructor in Hong Kong, Taiwan, London, and Singapore. In her role as instructor, Jules helped establish the curriculum for the schools, and taught various courses including hair, make-up and total image concepts.

Trained at Vidal Sassoon in England, Jules became one the the company's busiest stylist. She has done the hair for Mary Quant, Elizabeth Frazer from Cocteau Twins, and Sarah Dallin from Bananarama.

Melissa Melissa

Melissa relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area after receiving her cosmetology license from the Cosmo Factory in Santa Cruz.� She joined the staff at Dekko to further her training as a cutting specialist, working closely with Jules Chan and Jill Tucci. She has styled hair in multiple fashion shows and continues to feed her passion for the industry inspired by the latest trends and techniques. �Melissa also specializes in Keratin Treatments to re-texturize her client�s hair to support her creative haircutting.

When not in the salon, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and recently took up cooking as a new hobby.� Additionally, she adores classic movies, particularly the bad ones.

Scott Scott

Prior to his experience at Dekko, Scott Klassen worked at Architects & Heroes, one of San Francisco's most prestigious and well-known salons. After undergoing a rigorous enhancement program, he became one of their top senior stylists.

In 2001, looking to expand his portfolio, Scott became a freelance stylist. As well as his regular clients, Scott travelled to Singapore, assisting in seminars and shows for the Nexxus and Keune product range with a team from San Francisco.

From an early age, Scott had a passion for cutting hair, experimenting on friends and family. In 1995, he enrolled in Gold Coast Education in Santa Barbara. After graduating, he continued his advanced training as well as a Toni & Guy and Vidal Sassoon based cutting technique program to improve his skills.
Jill Jill


Co-owner of Dekko salon, Jill Nishimura Tucci brings more than 16 years of hair dressing experience to her role.

Prior to starting dekko with Jules and Jodi, Jill trained at Architects & Heroes in San Francisco and moved up to become one of the salon's top stylists. Having mastered styling, Jill turned her attention to color processing and embarked on an intensive training program at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica.

Before deciding to pursue a career in the hair dressing industry, Jill trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, in fashion design.

She worked as a theatrical costume designer for theaters such as the American Conservatory Theatre in Seattle and in San Francisco at various theatre houses, including the San Francisco Opera House and The Asian American Theatre , as well as the Lamp Lighters Theatre .

Jill is inspired by the beauty of nature and her work reflects this imagery. Her cuts are sexy, clean, classic and tailored. She believes the movement of hair evokes beauty and enhances a person's natural aura. Her color philosophy pays close attention to natural skin tone matching, whether achieved through dimensional one-color process tints or sun kissed highlights.

Beth Beth


Beth Van Bogart began her calling at a Bumble and Bumble salon in southern California. After completing the assistant program she continued to heighten her knowledge through the education of Davines and now specializes in Davines A New Colour. Beth excels at a variety of hair types including curls and wavy beachy textures, razor cutting, and seamless natural multidimensional color. Beth desires to transcend above and beyond the ordinary limits for her clients and has a deep love and passion for this industry. She has a keen sense of hair and always strives for originality. She is influenced by heavy metal and punk music, nature, and the art of macabre. When she’s not creating rock star hair at the salon she enjoys painting and loves classic horror movies.

Ileath Jamie

Jamie brings 19 years of haircut and color experience to Dekko Salon. She received her training using Toni & Guy methodology and terminology as well as, L'Oreal Professional Color Theory. Her haircut and color skills have been refined by over 10 years of teaching both bay area licensed hairdressers and upcoming top stylist. Jamie enjoys working with curly textures, men's barbering, and dry cutting all lengths. Her specialty is color matching, creative color and she's always up for a color correction challenge.

Ileath Jacob


Jacob began his career in Fresno, CA, and after a busy 10 years behind the chair, he decided to make the move to San Francisco to better his career and skills. He trained under the master stylist Emmanuel Noel, owner of Atelier Emmanuel. Here, Jacob was taught all the secrets of French hairdressing.

A wizard with blowouts and styling, Jacob utilized his skills working with Drybar for over 2 years. He mastered their techniques and complimented them with his own.

His love for coloring continues to grow, the old school French balayage technique being one of his specialties. From color correction challenges to fun and funky creative color work, Jacob continues to grow immensely.

Making people look and feel beautiful and seeing his clients so happy with their results is what keeps him so passionate about his profession.

Lana Lana


Lana's passion for the hair and beauty industry began as a teenager growing up in Soviet Latvia. Her passion has led her through extensive training at the renowned academies of Bumble and Bumble, Tony and Guy, Goldwell Color, and Dolores.

Lana's specializations are haircutting, coloring that includes balayage and free hand painting, and special event hair styling.

Lana keeps up on the latest trends, artistic techniques, and product developments by actively participating in top fashion conferences and communities across Europe, Russia, and the United States from New York to Las Vegas, Chicago to Los Angeles and of course, San Francisco.

Lana Orca values her clients, always striving to understand their needs and respecting their hair, with an emphasis on achieving an individualized look. She considers herself fortunate to work in a profession that she loves. Every client is special to her and she always does her best to make sure they know it.

Lana Sandra

Being a huge cinema fan, Sandra has always been inspired by iconic hairstyles in film which in turn gave her impetus to want to do hair on a professional level. Starting her hair career in Culver City Beauty College, she then completed a comprehensive apprenticeship at the renowned Piero Hair Salon in Santa Monica.

Sandra then embarked on her hair journey by relocating to San Francisco. With her training from Bumble and Bumble, Kerastase, Keune and Schwarzkopf she adopted the best techniques from each company. After spending some time as an educator for MoroccanOil she joined the family at Dekko Salon to progress and elevate her skills in colors and cuts.

She continues to find new ways to stay inspired and to create looks for her clients that compliment their features and suit their life-style while adding a touch of the "Sandra glamour" to each head of hair.

When she's not behind the chair you will find Sandra cooking and cuddling with her dogs and watching Star Wars!

dax Dax

Dax is the man behind the scenes though he may be the one who shampoos your hair, which is lucky for you because he gives great head massages. When he is not at the salon, he likes to spend his time creating music, which is the real reason he moved to San Francisco. If someday he becomes famous, we can all say we knew him first.

dax Sue

Dekko's front desk is managed every Saturday by the delightful Sue for the past few years. She is an expert at multi-tasking and has many years of experience with administrative duties, making her perfect for taking care of our client bookings and salon experience.

On the weekdays, she is a Project Manager for a Print and Design company. Sue resides in the East Bay and is currently attending school with a major in Biology. She also has a passion for Crystal Healing and Astrology.

Violet Violet

After Violet completed cosmetology school and received her license, she joined the Dekko Salon family. While working as Salon Support, she also attended SFSU to receive her BA degree. Violet is now Dekko's Salon Manager and brings her multi-tasking skills and energetic pace to keep everything running smoothly.

Violet is a San Francisco native and likes spending time with her family. Her interests are in hair, fashion, education, and business.
